| Inga | From the most southern distillery in Scotland, this is a bright and bracing dram. It is glinting pale gold in colour and rather gentle to nose – not much by way of nose prickle here. This Lowland whisky’s bracing qualities arrive with the taste, rather than the smell. At full strength, there is a buttery, gentle sweetness. It is quite floral, with scents of spring and a note of mint in the background, too. When water is added, it is these fresh notes which come to the fore. The taste is clean and tingly on the tongue, tinned pears with some lemon sha |
