Pleasant winy smell like good sherry (not the rubbery and sulphury ones). Sweet, full-bodied, old Cognac with peaty heather. In the mouth cold smoke with sweet, ripe apple with lots of already brown spots. With water the heavy sweetness tends towards Hoisin-sauce, strong milky coffee with brown sugar or cough syrup. Also you get some nice woody notes. The aftertaste is full-bodied and very very long. Take your time with this whisky. Its full beauty will only reveal itself to the patient.
