| Mina kommentarer: En grisigt dyr Laphroaig, som inköptes som andelswhisky. 5 oloroso fat från 1980 har blandats ihop till 972 flaskor. Fick Malt Maniacs Non-Plus-Ultra-Award 2007. Mycket god men alldeles för dyr. |

| Inga | COLOUR: Rich deep mahogany NOSE: The initial aroma os of a very sweet, rich old sherry whose flavour is reminiscent of black grapes, pears and oak. Adding a small splash of water brings out masses of sweet spiciness. The traditional "peat reek" that so typifies Laphroaig is not readily apparent although there is just a little trace of saltiness in the background. BODY: Thick, rich and succulent. TASTE: Without water it is quite powerful and has an initial honeyed peaty taste that slowly fades to allow the powerful heather and richness quality to come through. Adding a touch of water allows it to blossom. There is an immediate mixture of liquorice, peat and sweetness, with just a trace of roses and violets that show through. FINISH: Smokey, powerful and very long. |
