Comments: Macallan matured in bourbon wood - this is how good Macallan can be without the influence oof sherry casks. It has an extremely good balance between the nose and the taste.
Tasting notes: Even the nose has a fat oilyness to it, with a heavy sweet fruityness to it as well. Apples and butterscotch and some spicyness completes the scellent nose. The mouth is very sweet and flowery with some citrus in there as well. Becomes more dry and pebery given some time. The finish is very good, fruity and spicy without becoming bitter.
