| Mina kommentarer: Lite nya buteljer från Single Malts of Scotland. Denna och Linlithgowen passar fint på en provning med nedlagda destillerier. |

Nose: Marmalade and orange blossom at first, then pear & spicy pineapple, plum duff. Spice-wise, we have ginger, clove and a peppery edge. Some dry hay, then pleasant pot-pourri and earthy notes which become more prominent with water, whence they are joined by a not unpleasant tweediness. Palate: Medium-full (heavier than I expected) with gorgeous dried orange peel and other sweet orangey flavours dominating, though underpinned by the other flavours from the nose, with heather and a healthy dash of peppery spices. Impressive intensity and staying power. Luscious texture and weight. Becomes herby and honeyed with water. Finish: Long, warming and spicy. Comment: I've enjoyed all of our Rosebank bottlings, but for me this is probably the best we've done. Water doesn't spoil it, but it's best as Nature intended. A hugely enjoyable dram. |
