| Mina kommentarer: Ett kul buteljering, som fått bra kritik. A vatting of aged island and highland single malt whiskies. Apparently this contains 19 year old Dalmore, 21 year old Fettercairn, and 25 year old Ardbeg, vatted then aged for 15 years more. Very sherried and peaty, this is a gem of a discovery!. |

| Inga | RMW Staff Tasting Notes Nose: Initially salt and smoke with a rich, sherry sweetness fighting to get in. Quite jammy with some ash and honey smoked bacon. Plums were mentioned a couple of times and figs a couple more! Palate: Very chewy and hot with BBQ ribs and bags of peat smoke. Finish: Surprisingly short with more of those ribs and some smokers mouthwash. Comments: A deceptive dram. We felt the finish did not follow the big smoky sweet body, but very tasty all the same. Gavin Smith's Tasting Notes Rich and distinguished on the nose, with rounded peat smoke, engine oil, plums, Sherry and brine Fruity on the textured palate, with vanilla, spice, coffee and wood smoke. It becomes more citric with time, and the addition of water releases flavours of brittle toffee. The finish is medium in length, with black pepper, sea salt and lingering peatiness. From www.whisky-pages.com Sheep Dip's "Old Hebridean" is full of smoke and peat from Islay but tempered by the rich sweet overtones of aged highland malts. Most importantly and unusually, it has been allowed to marry in first fill oak for over a decade before bottling. |
