Under 2010 valde jag ut tre olika fat till Sverige; rom, port och madeira. Madeiran var en 1997 (Fridas födelseår) och Porten en 2000 (Mårtens födelseår), så jag fick ta och köpa båda. Min poäng: ?? p

Nose: This is a whisky with a dark side, red berries, stewed apples and pears, dark chocolate, rich marmalade and a little bit of peat. As the dram begins to breathe it reveals some lighter notes of citrus, grapefruit and raspberries are particularly prominent.
Palate: Wonderful balance between the influence of port soaked wood and the natural robustness of the Springbank spirit. Rich, fruity port tannins marry nicely with a marzipan sweetness and give a really creamy mouthfeel. A gentle smoky finish with hints of mixed berries.
