| Mina kommentarer: En mycket trevlig St Magdalene, men den har långt kvar till den underbara Rare Maltsen. |

| Saint Magdalene 21yo 1982/2003 (56.5%, Hart Brothers, D. 09/82, B. 11/2003) Nose: Grainy with a hint of liquorice. Opens up with time and the empty glass smells great. Taste: Soft and sweetish. A tad fruity. Orange zest? Remarkably sippable at this proof. Score: 82 points - quite pleasant - but als old Magda's go not spectacular. | Nose: Mustard and carrot cake. Taste: thinks about ripping into the tastebuds but backs off when the Heavens open and shafts of Demerara-sugared barley arrives and sweetens things up beautifully as angels pluck at their harps. Finish: impressive oily weight and longevitu, but it's barley all the way. Balance: there are two types of St Magdalene. Vicious or serene. Here you taste with angels. |
